Assembly Guide
Everything you need to install your Casa Bella closet system — from unboxing to a fully organized space.
Before you begin
All Casa Bella closet systems use our Click-Connect™ hardware — no drilling, no special tools. A standard Phillips screwdriver is all you need. Set aside a clear workspace and allow ample time depending on your kit size.
What you'll need
- Phillips screwdriver
- Rubber mallet (optional)
- Level
- Tape measure
- Pencil for marking
- A helper (recommended for larger kits)
Installation steps
- 01
Unbox and inventory
Lay all panels, shelves, rods, and hardware on a clean floor. Cross-reference each piece against the included parts list. Contact us before proceeding if anything is missing or damaged — we'll ship a replacement within 1 business day.
Keep the packaging until assembly is complete in case a part needs to be returned.
- 02
Plan your layout
Use the layout diagram included in your kit to mark shelf heights and panel positions on the wall with a pencil. Double-check measurements with a tape measure. For walk-in kits, start from the back wall and work outward.
Photograph your wall markings before placing panels — it makes repositioning easier.
- 03
Install wall anchors
Locate studs using a stud finder or the included stud-detection template. Drive the provided wall anchors into studs at the marked positions. For drywall-only installations, use the included toggle anchors rated for 50 lbs each.
Anchoring into at least two studs per vertical panel ensures maximum stability.
- 04
Attach vertical panels
Hang each vertical panel onto the wall anchors using the Click-Connect™ bracket slots. You'll hear a click when the panel is fully seated. Use a level to confirm each panel is plumb before moving on.
Start with the outermost panels first — they set the reference for everything in between.
- 05
Add shelves and rods
Slide shelves into the pre-drilled pin holes at your desired heights. For hanging rods, insert the rod end caps into the bracket holes on opposing panels and press until they click. Rods are adjustable in 2-inch increments.
Standard double-hang spacing is 42" top rod and 84" bottom rod from the floor.
- 06
Install drawers and accessories
Drawer units slide onto the bottom shelf runners — align the rear tabs first, then lower the front until it clicks. Hooks, tie racks, and belt organizers mount to any vertical panel using the included accessory clips.
Leave at least 1" clearance above drawer units for smooth operation.
- 07
Final check and load
Gently tug each shelf, rod, and panel to confirm everything is secure. Wipe surfaces with a dry cloth before loading your belongings. Distribute weight evenly across shelves — each shelf is rated for up to 75 lbs.
Heavier items like folded jeans and sweaters work best on lower shelves.
